In this Just Drop In, kids will interact with some of the main themes of the exhibition by exploring mortar, stained glass, and get the chance to collectively design a school in a hands-on workshop!
Workshop Schedule (Please note that this schedule is subject to material availability):
10:00 am – 12 pm: Mortar Exploration and Stained Glass Cration
12 pm – 2 pm: Stained Glass creation and School Design
This program is presented in conjunction with the exhibitions The Tuskegee Chapel: Paul Rudolph x Fry & Welch andA Better Life for Their Children: Julius Rosenwald, Booker T. Washington, and the 4,978 Schools that Changed America. Support for both exhibitions is provided by STUDIOS Architecture.
About Just Drop In!
Just drop in! - and join us for a fun, hands-on weekend workshop for children of all ages. Held on the fourth Saturday of every month from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., these workshops offer the perfect opportunity to engage in a variety of building and craft activities inspired by the fascinating objects in our exhibits and the world we design and build.
Pre-registration is recommended but not required.
Note: Program tickets are $7 per participating child and $10 per adult, which includes admission to the Museum’s exhibitions.
