This hands-on workshop honors the history of Juneteenth and focuses on how it's celebrated today. Through guided activities, kids will learn about the history and meaning of the holiday and explore how communities have celebrated it over time. Inspired by these traditions, they will design their own parade and build a custom float to take home. The program encourages reflection, self-expression, and celebration through art and storytelling.
Note: This program is geared towards ages 6-10, but all are welcome. Program tickets are $15 per participating child and $10 per accompanying adult, which includes admission to the Museum's exhibitions.
