The second Saturday of each month, families are invited to join the National Building Museum for STEAM activities related to our Brick City exhibition. Each activity challenges children to think creatively and experimentally using principles of design thinking and engineering.
November Activity:
Explore the basics of geodesic domes and the innovative ways architects and engineers use forces to create self-supporting structures. After learning how to use triangles to create very strong structures, participants will have the opportunity to build their own mini domes using craft materials.
STEAM Saturdays occur monthly on the second Saturday and are targeted towards children in second through sixth grade and their caregivers.
FREE with museum admission, registration strongly encouraged.
