The second Saturday of each month, families are invited to join the National Building Museum for STEAM activities related to our Brick City exhibition. Each activity challenges children to think creatively and experimentally using principles of design thinking and engineering.
December Activity:
Join us at the National Building Museum for an exciting exploration of how cultures around the world have developed unique technologies to stay warm in cold climates. Designed for children ages 8–14, this hands-on program dives into the building methods behind log cabins and igloos. Participants will learn about the science and history of these structures—then put their knowledge to the test by building their own versions!
STEAM Saturdays are targeted towards children in grades 2nd-6th and their caregivers and occur monthly on the second Saturday.
FREE with museum admission, registration strongly encouraged.
