Start the week with calm, clarity, and connection at this one-hour program featuring contemplative practice and conversation. Each session includes a welcome and introduction to meditation, a thirty-minute guided meditation, time for silent reflection, and a facilitated discussion exploring how individual awareness can inform shared values, ethical action, and collective responsibility.
The program is hosted by James Darius Ball, director of the Museum’s Future Cities initiative. It takes place in the City Action Hall, an interactive space for public engagement and imagination about the future of cities, located within the Coming Together exhibition.
Being Together: Monday Morning Meditation is part of the National Building Museum’s Future Cities initiative, which convenes leading thinkers, practitioners, and communities to explore new approaches to creating vibrant, resilient, and equitable urban environments.
No prior meditation experience is required. The program is open to all. Space is limited to thirty participants. Advance registration is required.
