Explore the basics of geodesic domes and the innovative ways architects and engineers use forces to create self-supporting structures. In partnership with the Structural Engineers Association of Metropolitan Washington (SEA-MW), participants will learn the basic principles of how architects and engineers create geodesic domes before having the opportunity to build their own using craft materials.

Just drop in! - and join us for a fun, hands-on weekend workshop for children of all ages. Held on the fourth Saturday of every month from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., these workshops offer the perfect opportunity to engage in a variety of building and craft activities inspired by the fascinating objects in our exhibits and the world we design and build.
Pre-registration is recommended but not required.
Note: Program tickets are $7 per participating child and $10 per adult, which includes admission to the Museum’s exhibitions.
